Delta-10 Gummies Effects

**Disclaimer: The information in this article regarding cannabinoids is drawn from comprehensive research and we have made every effort to share the most accurate information available at the time of writing. Remember that legal status is handled differently by jurisdiction and these substances can change status over time. If you’re new to cannabis, it is possible that you feel overwhelmed by all the
different cannabinoids we have. You must already know that THC and CBD exist, right? Well, did you know that there are different forms of THC?

For example, the ordinary THC that we all know and love is lovingly called Delta-9 THC. Rather than Delta-9 THC, today, we are going to focus on Delta-10 THC, specifically Delta-10 Gummies, or edibles derived from Delta-10 THC.

Today, we are here to understand what Delta-10 THC is, what exactly those gummies are, what do they make you feel, what kinds of benefits do they bring, how it weighs up against regular old Delta-9 THC and more.

Key Takeaways

  • Delta-10 is a type of THC found in trace amounts in hemp and cannabis plants.
  • The Delta-10 we know is usually synthesized from other cannabinoids in a lab.
  • Delta-10 THC is weaker than both Delta-8 and Delta-9 THC.
  • Delta-10 THC may have a variety of potential health benefits for the body and mind.

What is Delta-10 THC?

Delta-10 THC is a specific type of THC that is found in trace amounts in both hemp and cannabis plants. Just like normal Delta-9 THC, Delta-10 THC is psychoactive and does have the ability to get you high, although it is likely not nearly as potent as regular Delta-9 THC.

Because Delta-10 THC is found only in trace amounts in most hemp and cannabis plants, we choose to synthesize it from other cannabinoids. Because Delta-10 THC is only found in trace amounts, extracting it is not cost-effective or feasible. It would take far too much plant matter to get a usable amount of Delta-10 THC.

For this reason, just like Delta-8 THC, Delta-10 THC is synthetically produced in a laboratory setting using a special process known as isomerization. CBD is taken from hemp plants, and using this isomerization process, is turned into Delta-10 THC.

Delta-10 THC is legal at this time, as set out by the federal 2018 Farm Bill, which states that any cannabinoid derived from a hemp plant that contains less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC is considered legal. This is one of the reasons why Delta-10 THC is becoming so popular, it is federally legal, whereas Delta-9 THC is not.

Do Delta-10 Gummies Have THC?

This is where things can get a little confusing because Delta-10 gummies do contain THC. However, it is not the same type of THC that you are used to. Once again, the type of THC that we generally refer to when we say THC is Delta-9 THC, which is illegal at a federal level.

However, the gummies we are talking about today are Delta-10 gummies, which contain only Delta-10 THC, not Delta-9 THC, therefore technically making them legal at a federal level.

Yes, Delta-10 THC is still an intoxicant and a psychoactive substance that will alter your perception and make you feel high, but it is not the same as Delta-9 THC. They have different molecular structures.

Potential Delta-10 Gummies Health Benefits

Though Delta-10 THC and Delta-10 gummies have not been thoroughly researched out until now, it is thought that it does possibly help in a wide array of health benefits for both the human body and the human mind.

Before getting into any of these, it should be noted that Delta-10 THC is not nearly anywhere near as strong as Delta-9 THC, so the same health benefits may not be as tremendous. It is thought that Delta-10 THC has many of the same health benefits as Delta-10 THC, but you may just have to take more of it to get the same benefits.

First, it is thought that Delta-10 THC gummies may help with your pain relief and may be analgesic in nature for simplistic purposes. It is thought that Delta-10 THC may be able to essentially block pain signals that get to your brain from your nerves, and thus reduce your pain.

Furthermore, just like Delta-9 THC, it is thought that Delta-10 THC may also be a mood regulator that can alter the production of serotonin and dopamine in your brain. It is thought that Delta-10 THC could increase both serotonin and dopamine production in your brain, and thus help you with any anxious, depressive, and stressful thoughts that you may be having.

It is also thought that Delta-10 THC may possibly help reduce any stress levels that you may be experiencing, as it was believed that Delta-10 THC could possibly reduce cortisol production in the brain for that purpose.

Next, you should know that, like Delta-9 THC, it is also believed that Delta-10 THC is an appetite stimulant that will make you feel hungry, and could also help to reduce any vomiting or nausea.

Furthermore, it is also believed that Delta-10 THC is a sedative that will help you get to sleep.

Potential Delta-10 Gummies Side Effects

Overall, the high from Delta-10  also shouldn’t be anywhere as heavy as the high from marijuana rich in D9-THC There’s really no way to sugarcoat this, unlike Delta-9 THC, Delta-10 THC isn’t nearly as powerful of an intoxicant. However, it does produce many of the same psychoactive effects as Delta-9 THC.

It still has the ability to produce one’s typical cerebral head high, and a very mild mellow body high. It can still produce a sense of happiness, euphoria, elation, waves of calmness, deep relaxation, a vivid dreamy state of mind, bouts of droopy heavy sedated eyes, hammering hunger cravings, a feeling of physical heaviness creating a total sense of lethargy and fatigue, and even mild tingles coursing through your extremities.

Again, similar to any other consumption of marijuana, and like a large portion of the population, some consumers might also report feeling a little more pep in their step, increased chattiness, heightened focus, boosted creativity, and even some extra energy and stamina.

Like any other intoxicating substance, the effects can vary somewhat from one person to another. Although, one thing that Delta-10 THC is not, is heavy or overpowering. Its potency is restricted to having a much milder effect, with some users even reporting

How to Use Delta-10 Edibles

Delta-10 edibles are probably the easiest of the deliverables to use, because you just eat them. It is probably a good idea to take Delta-10 edibles on a full stomach.

Not because it will help the food digest, but perhaps because it will keep your stomach from feeling upset. [A full stomach is also beneficial because it may also improve the bioavailability, or ‘absorption rate’, of Delta-10 THC into your body, meaning that potentially more of the Delta-10 will find it’s way into your blood stream to affect you.

Besides that, don’t go overboard. Most Delta-10 edibles will never have more than a solid 25 milligrams total in them. Start there. If it’s been a minute or two since you ate, aim for between 10mg to 25mg of Delta-10 THC, wait up to 90 minutes to see if you feel anything, and if you don’t, consider upping your dosage.

If you are super new to cannabis, you may want to start with as little as 5mg initially (although in real terms, that is such a low dose you will not feel anything) but otherwise, if you are an experienced and seasoned cannabis consumer with several years and/or months of tenure or a bit of an immunity built up through years of use, start yourself with 30 to 40 milligrams.

Are Delta-10 Gummies Safe?

Though it’s still slightly true that the research on ‘long-term’ side-effects is somewhat scarce, there’s nothing that leads scientists to believe that Delta-10 THC or even Delta-10 gummies are in any way dangerous or harmful. That said, Delta-10 THC is likely to cause certain side effects as it’s hard to believe that it would be any different to Delta-9 THC.

But we don’t have any reason to think that Delta-10 THC is in any way unsafe or dangerous or terminal or anything like that – all in all, there’s nothing for you to worry about here.

How Long Do Delta-10 Gummies Stay in Your System?

How long do delta-10 gummies stay in your system? As far as I know, the longest possible scenario is three or four months. But (depending upon what kind of test you’re using) yes, you very well could pass a drug test depending upon what kind you get.

If we’re talking about a saliva test: It’s going to show up there for about three days. Now, if we’re talking about a urine test: Yes, Delta-10 THC will, at the absolute most, stay in your system for about three or four weeks. If we’re talking about a hair follicle test: Could Delta-10 THC show up there for up to three or four months? It depends.

Truthfully, you’re not going to stay high for more than a couple of hours (if you take it by inhaling, by any means), maybe as long as six hours at the very most. In the past, I’ve taken ten milligrams of THC and if I was just sitting there, I started feeling high in about half a little less than an hour, but I’ve been high for two and a half hours before, if I’m staying up.

How long does delta-10 THC stay in your system? Can you pass a drug test? That really depends. It depends upon how far along you are into your cycle, how much you use, how many times you use, how much of it you use, whether you’re a big guy (a big girl) or you’re skinny, and how fast your body process things.

Other Forms of Delta-10 THC

There are also other forms of Delta-10 THC besides gummy or edible format. Here, we are talking mainly about Delta-10 THC vapes or vaporizers.

Delta-10 THC Vapes

Edibles are not for everyone. One thing you need to understand is that edibles can sometimes take to 10 hours (and maybe even longer). That’s more than most stoners (even heavy ones) want!

It also comes on a whole lot harder than either smoking (roll or bong) or vaping ( dried bud or THC concentrate), due to the off-putting way your body metabolises THC when you ingest it via eating.

Maybe you find the Delta-10 THC edible high too strong, or it lasts too long, or you don’t like the way it makes you feel. If so, and you’re not interested in going back to smoking, your best next option is to get a Delta-10 THC vape.

Although vaping probably isn’t the best thing for your lungs, the effects that you’ll feel are a bit different. Rather than taking 90 minutes to two hours to hit you, it’s going to take you three to five minutes to feel it.

Rather than it lasting for up to half a day, the effects are usually going to wear off in five or six hours max. The high from it also won’t be quite as intense as it would be with an edible. Of course, there are some trade-offs here too.

Difference Between Delta-10 and Delta-8 THC

Something you probably do know is that both Delta-10 and Delta-8 THC can be derived from regular old CBD, so this is one of the similarities – they’re both made out of CBD!

Another similarity that they do share is that since both of these cannabinoids (because they’re hemp-derived and contain less than 0.3 per cent Delta-9 THC) should be federally legal thanks to the 2018 Farm Bill. Another similarity is that they are both psychoactive and intoxicating.

One more thing to point out here is that both Deltas are, strictly speaking, a tad lighter and mellower than what you get with good, old Delta-9 THC.

Overall, the effects will be a tad lighter and mellow – as I stated earlier, Delta-9 THC has been said to be twice as strong as Delta-8, and Delta 8 is a tad stronger than Delta-10. In order, and the oft put out there estimation:

1. Delta-9 THC is the strongest

2. Then there is Delta-8 THC which is said to be roughly 60% as strong as Delta-9, but twice as strong as Delta-10 THC

3. Finally, Delta-10 THC, is thought to be somewhere between 30 – 60 per cent as strong as regular old Delta-9 THC, although about 60 – 90 per cent as strong as Delta-8 THC.

As for what you will feel, Delta-8 THC has been said to produce one of those Indica-like highs that has been described as a body high, meaning you could feel a bit heavy, with a tingly/numbing feeling, sedation, tiredness, and hunger onset.

It might also help you to feel extremely calm and chilled-out. Delta-10 THC has been described as more of a Sativa high, and by Sativa high, we’re talking about a cerebral head-high, as in a head high, that gives you that beloved and highly coveted vibe of feeling your noggin fried and intoxicated.

You will probably feel euphoric, happy, elated, and generally stoned-out on cannabis. Don’t forget, reduced stress, reduction in anxious thoughts and general ganja-induced cognitive impairment is also in the mix.

That said, this rule of thumb isn’t 100 per cent correct either – every person might feel differently when it comes to Deltas 8, 9 and 10.
