Weed Chicken Wings Ingredients:

  • Chicken wings
  • Baking powder
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Parchment paper or foil
  • Non-stick cooking spray (if using foil)
  • Flour
  • Garlic powder
  • Paprika
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Oil for frying
  • Cannabis-infused butter
  • Hot sauce

Preparation Instructions:

  1. Prepare chicken wings into “drummettes” by using poultry shears or a sharp knife to cut off the wing tip at the first joint, then cut the wing again at the elbow joint. Discard tips or save for another purpose.
  2. Combine flour, 1 teaspoon each of salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and 1/4 teaspoon (more to taste) cayenne pepper in a medium bowl. Stir well.
  3. Use tongs to dip wings in flour mixture to lightly coat. Set aside on a wire rack and let rest for 5 minutes.
  4. Preheat your oven to 375°F if baking, or heat oil in a deep fryer to 350°F for frying.

Cooking Methods:

  • For Frying: Fry coated wings for about 10 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on a wire rack.
  • For Baking: Arrange wings on a lined baking sheet and bake for 60 minutes or until crispy.
  • For Grilling: Grill over medium-hot fire for about 7 minutes per side.
  • Alternative Baking: Bake in a 400°F oven for about 20 minutes or until browned and cooked through.

Sauce Preparation:

  1. In a large skillet, melt cannabis-infused butter over medium-low heat. Stir in hot sauce, and 1/2 teaspoon each of pepper and garlic powder until well blended.
  2. Add chicken wings to the skillet, tossing to coat in sauce. Serve immediately with crusty bread.

Slow Cooker Cannabutter/Oil:

  1. Grind the herb coarsely. Add butter or oil to a slow cooker, adding 2 cups of hot water if using butter. Set to low heat and add ground herb. Cook for 8 to 24 hours until the top layer is glossy and thick.
  2. Strain through a cheesecloth-lined sieve. Press solids to extract all liquid. Discard solids. Store Cannabis Oil at room temperature or Cannabutter in the refrigerator.

Dosage Notes for Weed Wings:

When it comes to cannabis edibles, it’s important to be careful about the amount of food you eat. While we are sure you’ll want to indulge in these exquisite chicken wings, the best thing you can do is wait about 20 minutes before eating another buffalo wing.

Each serving may contain about 20-25mg THC, if we assume that the cannabis butter is made from average cannabis (10%+ THC) using a half ounce of cannabis making 1 cup of cannabis-infused butter. We recommend adjusting according to your cannabis potency and personal dosage preferences.
